Spark (Fibonacci)

“Spark”

lights up

……IDEA…….

Vision awakens

 as neurotransmitters ignite.

This energy releases to surrounding neurons

as images coalesce into fireworks of concussive epiphany.

A fibonacci for your July 4th celebrations.  Epiphany feels like the spark that turns into a firework to me.

Fibonacci:  a non-rhyming poem structured with the Fibonacci sequence (0 or 1, 1, 2, 3, 5 etc).  Fibonacci sequence is adding the two prior numbers together to get the new number.   If one starts at “zero” then the first two lines are single syllable. Most poems stop at 13 syllables for the last line.

Stroke (Fibonacci)

Strokes
glide
over
sultry skin
as lashes flicker;
Sensual butterfly kisses
dip and dive into my intimate body parts.
Moaning, this torturous caress conflagrates tickled nerves into a phoenix re-born

What can I say?  A “hot” poem for a “hot” summer night…….   🙂

Unbalanced (Fibonacci)

I
am….
unsynched
pendulum…..
unbalanced yin-yang.
These fatal bipolar errors
draw dice-engraved grave markings in technicolor hues.
Medicated, I bury my tortured personality in hard fractal layers.

Scarred Breast (Fibonacci)

Scars…
Seems…
Raised ridges.
Smooth pink colored ropes,
a picture frame around my breast.
Rounded smooth flesh protrudes from neat embroidered stitches
like a bra with an underwire tucked tight and smooth. Soft transplanted flesh fills out the whole.

«ð»

I am often asked to describe what my transplanted breast looks like.  This is one attempt in Fibonacci form.  It is my unwanted reality.

Fibonacci: a poem with syllabic lines of 0 or 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21 and so on.  The prior two lines make the syllabic number for the following line.  Most poets stop at 13 syllables.

Anxious Moments (Fibonacci)

NOW.
Short
of Breath,
ANXIETY
forces Terse Awareness.
Harmonious insight eludes….
Unsettled thoughts leap from irritated nerve endings.
Insistant What-How-When-Now intrudes these stygnian synapses with minute distress.

I am anxious, so anxious.  My dad is in ICU in respiratory failure and I feel like I am living in a repeating nightmare that wont end until I get the day right.  I hope that we as a family will make the right decisions for him and not let our own grief prolong suffering if the doctors don’t think he will survive, or survive intact as his neurological status is in question as well.

Fibonacci poetic form: uses the Fibonacci sequence for syllables on each line: 0 or 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21

Hope (Fibonacci)

Hope

Desire

Expectation

Future fulfillment

A bright promise of tomorrow

Someday and somehow juxtapose with certainty

Strong desire and corresponding expectation drives the inner mind to fantasy

My son starts drug rehab this week.  My hope is that the program will help him find ways other than drugs to deal with the problems that inevitably come in life.  And perhaps help us all as a family; we definitely could use it.

Granted Wishes (Fibonacci)

Wish

Hope

Prayer

Heaven sent

Unseasoned restart

Unblemished with impunity

Spiritual anchor from climacteric thoughts

God-breathed sentient life, a finite, tenuous, existence; fractured soul now restored

It is my greatest hope that my troubled son will come to know the love and peace that only salvation in Jesus brings.  This is my prayer for him.

Forgiveness (Fibonacci)

Glum

thoughts.

Forgive

and forget.

Toss aside grievance

Carve out cancerous memory.

Re-cant harsh insinuations with impunity

and restore wrecked relationship with soothing harmonious speech, a balm to the soul.

I love Fibonacci poems!  I was first introduced to the beauty of different forms of poetry by Greg from Memoirs of a Dragon who experiments with all forms, and has challenged me as an amateur poet.  This poem is pretty self-explanatory, and I hope it resonates with you, as at some point in our life we all must forgive and forget.
