Feud (Pleides)

Feud rises with cold lies

Frost-filled with icy hate

Fight murderous desire

Fire singes angry thought

Fend off berserker state

Flee this frenzied fighting

Forswearing my mistakes

Anger can fuel carnivorous feelings, no matter whether it is expressed as hot or cold emotion.

Once there were Dragons

Since the Dawn of Time, universal legends told

of a mighty fearsome creature, called Dragon in every tale.

Was this legendary creature once alive, its’ fiery breath now cold?

Gossamer webbed wings, iridescent scales;

Ruler of God’s created Beasts.

Fearsome fiery breath, sharply barbed tail;

Now cursed, hated, you slither among the least.

Stripped of all you possess, your unearned fall!

Satan’s cruel lie used your beauty and grace;

Your permanent loss suffered by man most of all.

Now a product of legend, your fearsome form and face

live in legend memory, drawn on ancient walls.

Though stolen by the Great Lie, your majesty earns your place.

Mighty Dragon, greatest Beast in all Creation!

Struck down by Adam’s sin.

Cursed creature, stripped from all nations;

now a slithering serpent kin.

Known for your words, intelligent and wise,

Satan used your form, doppleganger in your skin,

to delusion innocence and open their eyes.

We mourn your loss, stripped by God’s curse,

Victim of the Father of Lies.

My imaginings lead me to what the Great Serpent of the Bible was. This poem imagines that it was the great and mighty dragon, stripped of his glory when Satan used his image to tempt Eve.

Coitus (Tanka)

We are one tonight

Skin on skin as you thrust in

Interlocked together

Writhing in coital delight

Carry me to blissful heights

Tanka:  an unrhymed Japenese poem with 5 lines in a 5/7/5/7/7 syllable structure.  I took great liberties with theme and rhyme.

Solitary soul (Senryu)

Solitary soul

restless eyes flicker to mine

suggestive longing

Picture: Kiss the Girl by puppyartstudios

For those two moments in my life where I looked at something…and KNEW…just one glance and I was hooked…..

Senryu: same as Haiku structure but the theme is generally related to relationships or feelings while Haiku stresses nature

Stroke (Fibonacci)

Strokes
glide
over
sultry skin
as lashes flicker;
Sensual butterfly kisses
dip and dive into my intimate body parts.
Moaning, this torturous caress conflagrates tickled nerves into a phoenix re-born

What can I say?  A “hot” poem for a “hot” summer night…….   🙂

Fibonacci:  a non-rhyming poem structured with the Fibonacci sequence (0 or 1, 1, 2, 3, 5 etc).  Fibonacci sequence is adding the two prior numbers together to get the new number.   If one starts at “zero” then the first two lines are single syllable. Most poems stop at 13 syllables for the last line.

Betrayal (Pleiades)

Betrayal heists lovelorn
bitter ruminations
beneath joyful veneer.
Burdensome jaded thought
brings depressed spirits low.
Borrow from father time;
better luck tomorrow.

Betrayal takes many forms, but each begin with and Expectation that is disappointed by an Action.
