Forgone (Pleides)

Falling into despair

Failure seizes all thought

Forsake mad existence

Flee blind as fear…. engulfs

Fly to dark depths unknown

Foment restless sleeping

Forgone, my unseen wounds

This was an attempt to describe feelings associated with the intense stress of this year of hell.

Pleiades: The title is one word.  The first or last word of the sentence matches the first word in the single title. All first words start with the same letter as the title.  There are 7 lines, each 6 syllables!

Doppleganger (Free Verse)

Despair, that monster within

feeds with frenzied ferocity

leaving me hollow….

a discarded snake skin,

crinkled and transparent.

Its’ distorted corpulence

overfills my shell

as I, crippled and unwell,

shoulder its’ burdensome voracity

 and starve by infinite degrees.

My hollow smile sickly swells,

announcing my perditious state,

as your eyes slither away…..

for pretense must be obeyed.

Restore Plea

Layers of sadness forestall calm thought

Release blighted day to bright tomorrow

Renew amnesiac regret

Unglue morbid sorrow

Clear accounts deep in dept

Restore time, now stalled

Unseal eyes with future blind

Remove inky black-walled

    TORTURE—

Renew happy hopes, once mine

Often I wish that I could go back in time and erase mistakes.  I was full of these feelings when I wrote this poem.

Broken Wings (Etheree)

Lost

ardor,

sensuous

thought envelops

frozen memory,

melting failed fairy dust.

No escape from locked despair.

Unblessed, troubled relationship;

these feelings screaming into dark night

as broken fairy wings…… surrender flight.
